RNIP work experience exempt from continuity

scenic view of rural and northern community in Canada

An IRCC policy exempt the continuous requirement for the 1 year work experience under RNIP (rural northern immigration pilot). The pilot program requires applicant must have at least 1 year of full-time work experience within 3 years prior to application is submitted. This requirement used to be accumulated in a continuous period of time. Due to the widespread work interruptions during the pandemic, IRCC issued this policy to alleviate the difficulties many applicants faced. Now, RNIP applicants may accumulate the required work experience regardless it is continuous or not.
